June 19th, 1961. A woman is giving labor on a dark stormy night. The doctor delivers the news to Mrs. Slatter that the child did not make it. Mrs. Slatter screams out in horror and the scene cuts to present day.

It is graduation day and we are introduced to the girls on , "The House on Sorority Row". We then see a present day Mrs. Slatter walking into her doctor's office. Coincidence enough but her doctor is the same one who pronounced her baby dead at birth. She walks with a cane which resembles the one in the cult T. V Show, "Dark Shadows". She confronts the doctor and warns that she knows what happened in the past and that she will tell on him if she does not get her way. From this first scene alone you could tell that this woman is not dealing with a full deck. Our Mrs. Slatter has become a mean and ruthless woman with a face of stone. Meanwhile back on "The House of Sorority Row", the girls are planning a farewell party. The get the ole house in shape and then settle back with a few beers. Suddenly Mrs. Slatter enters, "What is the meaning of this"? she demands. One of the girls exclaims that due to insufficient funds they would have to have their graduation party in the house. Over Mrs, Slatter dead body. Mrs.Slatter warns, "No Parties" and storms out. Now that's what I would call a party pooper.

Mrs. Slatter is then sitting in her bedroom reflecting on all her years as a den mother. She then lifts her cane up the air and smashes a picture of herself with the girls. Meanwhile, in the upper bedroom. One of our young sorority girls Vicki is getting it on with one of the guys from the next sorority. Suddenly her cane is lifted in the air and smashes into the waterbed. "Get Out", Mrs.Slatter demands. Vicki has just about had it with Mrs. Slatter and calls the girls together for a meeting. She confronts the girls that she has had enough of Mrs. Slatter and plans to give her a real scare. Meanwhile, back at the Doctor's office our doctor tells Mrs. Slatter that her brain is decaying. Now it all makes sense why this woman is acting so crazy. Back at the house, the girls decorate for their party regardless of our Mrs. Slatter. Mrs.Slatter returns home and is shocked to find they have disobeyed her orders and went on with the preparations for the party anyway. She tells them to stop immediately then goes in search of her cane. "Are you looking for something", Vicki asks. "Why don't you check out by the pool", she smirks. Mrs. Slatter goes storming out to the pool to find that these nasty young girls have placed her cane in the center of the green molded pool on a tire. "Now, go get", Vicki commands. Mrs. Slatter declines but when vicki pulls out a revolver Mrs. Slatter is stunned. A shot in the air to prove that she is not messing around and Mrs.Slatter enters the slimy pool. Vicki then points the revolver at Mrs. Slatter and fires away. Our Mrs. Slatter goes down and the girls jump in to save her. It's too late. Mrs.Slatter is dead.

The girls are in a panic. The party is about to begin. Do they bury the body or hide it in the house. They decide to wrap her up and put her at the bottom of the pool. The party begins and everyone is having a good time. Everyone that is except the girls. They are nervous. Especially Katie who feels terrible guilt and is dismayed over what has just transpired. Meanwhile back at the pool, a bunch of crazy guys decide to go for a dip in the green slimmed pool. The girls go rushing out to stop them but it is too late. They are already in the disgusting water. The girls are panicking, but there is no body in the pool. Where is Mrs. Slatter. She is not in the pool. "Oh God, she is still alive", Katie cries. They rush back into the house and they are frantic. They have become extremely nervous. One of the girls screams. Mrs.Slatters dead body has returned still wrapped up and nowhere to go. The girls place the body in a dumpster and remove it from the house. Now, this is where the movie really takes off. One by one the girls are getting butchered. Who will survive. Who will die.

Who is committing these horrible bloody murders. Is it that our Mrs.Slatter is still alive or has she returned from the dead to seek out her vengeance.
"House on Sorority Row", a true cult drive-in classic that is fun and terrifying at the same time.
Elite puts togetther an annimorphic transfer for this one. This is probably the best we'll ever see for "House on Sorority Row". Not a bad picture at all, but i found that the colors were a little washed out and that the over all look was a tad too dark.
The sound is in mono and wasn't the best, but not the worst either. The only extra included is the films Trailer to which i beleive is a T.V. spot rather then Theater Trailer. The Trailer is in a little rough shape, but is fun addition.
