The creators of “Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer” and “Frosty the Snowman”, Arthur Rankin Jr. and Jules Bass decided to give christmas a rest in the year 1967 and gave a try at Halloween with, “Mad Monster Party”. Using Claymation they had created a fun and silly look using every monster known to man at that time.
Mad Monster Party begins with the Mad Scientist Baron Von Frankenstein, voiced by legendary Boris Karloff who creates a famous discovery of destruction. With his new found success he plans his retirement and plans a special convention of The Worldwide Organization of Monsters. The Invitations are sent out and soon all the monsters begins arriving at the doctor's castle. The guests include: Dracula, Dr.Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde, The Werewolf, The Invisible Man, The Creature from the Black Lagoon, It, The Thing, The Blob, The Mummy and let's not forget Frankenstein and The Monsters Mate(Diller).
Among the horrifying guests that will be attending is the doctors nephew Felix, a scientist in his own way who works for a pharmacy but has dreams of becoming a great scientist.
The Doctors beautiful, sexy, buxom, red head assistant Francesca can't wait for the party to begin. The doctor is about to retire and name one of the monsters as his successor. One by one the guests make their dramatic appearance and the party is soon under way. But before the monsters get a chance to get down and boogie, word gets out that the doctor is going to name his nerdy nephew Felix as his successor. The monsters are mortified and mayhem sends them into a wild and wacky frenzy.

Soon they all scramble to steal the Baron's ultimate secret. Will Felix survive all of their outrageous monster madness.
This Cult Classic is finally available on DVD for the first time by Anchor Bay Entertainment. The long sought after favorite can now be seen is a pristine clear and vivid picture. As well as many other fans of the Mad Monster Party, I remember this movie when I was a kid and remember they always used to show it on tv around Halloween time.

Although the movie could have used more catchy tunes rather than the ones in the film, the movie still remains a true classic in every way.
A must have for any fan or for a new generation, this timeless monster party is still just as MAD as it ever was.
Anchor Bay has done one of their best jobs here with this film transfer. This movie never ever looked this good!
Beautiful saturated colors and nice deep Black levels will make all fans amazed how clear this picture looks.
The film is presented in it's original full frame presentation leaving it as it was intended to be seen.
