Get your copy of Puphedz Welcome to the Puphedz Theatre of the macabre. THE Winner of Best Animation 2002, Los Angeles Screamfest Horror Film Festival. In this first edition, these zany wooden puppet actors recreate Edgar Allen Poe's, "The Tell-Tale Heart". It is the story of a young man who is driven to madness by his roommate with a deformed rather large, rotating eyeball. Woodrow J. Larchbottom 111, plays the tormented young man who becomes obsessed with his freak of nature pal. He begins to have surreal reoccurring nightmares of the large spinning eyeball and suddenly cannot take it any longer. In this offbeat presentation the wooden puppet finds himself drenched in blood as he hacks and chops away at his roommate. When a neighbor calls the police after hearing screams, , they arrive and begin to search the residence for any foul play. Woodrow being the clever puppet that he is hides the body beneath the wooden floor. But as the cops sit down for a snack, Woodrow begins to perspire at the thought of being caught. Is Woodrow clever enough to outsmart the local feds? Or Will Woodrow's insanity find him locked up in an insane asylum for the murder he committed?

This is a surprising amusing offbeat short story running in either a short 27 minute version, or a longer version running 34minutes. The disc also contains a 15 minute documentary by the Pupdez creators. In the documentary they talk about how they created the Puphedz and how they plan to create more stories from the mind of Edgar Allen Poe. The disc also contains the Theatrical Trailer as well as the European Theatrical Trailer. A Stills Gallery as well as Cast Bios. In my opinion the short film was very good and amusing but we could have waited for more shows to be created and added onto one disc. From Elite Entertainment, the disc itself looks fantastic. Flawless of any grain and contains a clear and crisp picture. Keep an eye out for the approach of the Puphedz cart. When you see the snaggletoothed smile of the cart puller, you'll know you're in for a fun time with the Puphedz performers.
