Get your copy of That Little Monster Enter the strange and bizarre world created by writer and director Paul Bunnell. Right from the opening scene we sense that something is just not quite right, just like and episode from the Twilight Zone. Shot in Black and White like the Twilight Zone, with a feel for the old classic horror masterpieces of the 1930's. This surreal film begins with Jamie, a foreign exchange student who is hired by the Willocks parents to watch over their son for the night. Before little Willocks parents leave for their Masquerade party, they warn Jamie that their precious little boy may be a little tough. Jaimie assures them that she has dealt with bad kids before and not to worry. As the strange couple makes their exit, Jaimie prepares the baby's formula. Making her way to the nursery, the camera moves about in a weird atmospheric way making the lead character as well as the viewer lose sense of time and dimension. Once inside the walls of the baby's room Jaimie begins to give little Willock his formula. Suddenly the baby refuses to eat his formual and becomes very angry and irate. Escaping from his crib, the little monster goes after Jaimie in retaliation. |

Can Jaimie survive one night with this strange little creature? Tune into this bizarre tale to unravel the mysterious ending that will answer your when and why's? A fine low budget independent film. Brilliantly filmed by Paul Bunnell in a very atmospheric surreal way that is very reminiscent of the TV Show The Twilight Zone. This dark comedy seemed very familiar to me when viewing. When researching the film I discovered that the director originally did the story on an old TV episode of "Monsters" starring comedian Julie Brown. That personally was my favorite episode of that show. The directed wanted to do a longer version of the film and a more artistic film as well, so was born, "That little Monster." Available on DVD by Elite Entertainment. Running time is 56 minutes long. The disc includes Audio Commentary by Writer/Director Paul Bunnell and Editor/Producer Carl Mastromarino. Also included as a nice extra is a 19 minute short film "The Visitant" by the director Bunnell. And Interview footage featuring Writer/Director Paul Bunnell |
