Matt Farrell (John Ashley) is skindiving when he is captured from the depths of the ocean. He is kidnapped and taken to a foreboding fortress on a deserted island run by a mad scientist named Dr. Gordon. He is taken to the island to be used as a guinea pig for the doctors diabolical experiement. The doctor is secretly creating a race of super people who are half human and half beast. While on the island Matt goes snooping about. He goes down into the basement and finds the mad doctors evil labortary. There are several rooms but they are all locked. Matt becomes suspicious and he begins to learn the sinister truth. A race of terrifying and hideous creatures have been created..
While performing an experiment on another prisnor, the doctors daughter begins to lose her cool. They are removing the brain of a human and begin digging into the skull. She flees from the room and Matt goes chasing after her. He catches her and of course they kiss. They are interupted by the doctor and his men. The doctor then tells them to take him down and lock him in the cage. While caged up will all these deformed creatures the doctors daughter comes down and sets him and all of the creatures free. Once free it is hard to control this crazy bunch like, The Panther Woman (Pam Grier), as well as the soft fragile wolf girl. Love begins to blossom for the wolf girl and the boy with horns. The Panther Woman has a good ole time rolling around the floor along while pre-recorded panther sounds escape her mouth.

The troops then set in and a battle begins. Man Vs. Monster, in where you actually want the monster to win. Especially the Bat Boy who comes to save the day in this climatic ending. This film is pure Drive-in cheese at it's very best.

DVD Information:
VCI Home Entertainment brings us a digitally remastered DVD from the films 35 mm negative. They did quite well in restoring a film of it's age and budget, to a more colorful and sharp picture then ever seen before on home video. There are noticible picture flaws but that's most likely the fault of the original film stock used. The sound is in it's original form and is just fine. Included on this DVD are Theatrical Trailers of other Horror/Cult DVD's available from VCI Home Entertainment. Included as well is the original trailer for "The Twilight People" which is real fun to watch.
